Meet Dr.Titilayo Olupona, MD

BUILDING HEALTHCARE THAT REFLECTS WOMEN’S REAL LIVES.

Dr. Olupona’s relationship with medicine began long before medical school. As a practicing OB/GYN, her father was the reason she saw early on that women’s care is rarely defined by a single visit or diagnosis. It is shaped by systems that either support or fail them.

THE PATH

Dr. Olupona earned her Doctor of Medicine from Boston University before relocating to Toronto for postgraduate training in anatomical pathology at the University of Toronto. Immersed in disease-focused medicine, she recognized a growing misalignment. While pathology offered critical diagnostic insight, it distanced her from the longitudinal relationships and lived realities of patients, particularly for women whose health needs unfold across interconnected life stages.

Led by a desire to care for patients more directly, she transitioned into family medicine, earning her CCFP through the Department of Family Medicine at Scarborough General Hospital. The move reflected her commitment to delivering personalized care and to building trusted patient-physician relationships that extend beyond isolated clinical moments.

THE PATTERN

A pattern that became
impossible to ignore.

In clinical practice, Dr. Olupona observed a consistent pattern that became impossible to ignore. As women navigated fertility, hormonal transitions, and preventative care, they were doing so with little coordination and limited education. Furthermore, their symptoms were frequently minimized or dismissed, particularly among Black women. These observations were predictable outcomes of systems never designed around women’s full lives; a pattern that became the challenge set out to address with the next chapter of her career.

When people don’t understand their health, misinformation steps in.

TODAY

Physician Lead.
Trusted Advisor.

As an Executive Health Physician at Cleveland Clinic Canada, Dr. Olupona has cared for high-performing professionals from diverse backgrounds and life stages.

Irrespective of her clients’ needs, she is known and trusted for taking the time to learn as much as possible about each patient, asking the questions others rush past to ensure she restores clarity around their overall health needs.

Beyond the clinic, Dr. Olupona is also a notable speaker, advisor, and media commentator. Across every platform, her stance carries a consistent message that women’s health cannot exist as a side conversation. Her work makes it clear that trust in medicine must be actively rebuilt. The way our systems are designed (especially in the modern workforce) often determines who gets care early, and who is seen too late.
